Inline Skating Experience
is delivered by Danny Aldridge, World Champion inline skater.
Danny is a unique character, full of energy and passionate about helping others believe in themselves.
Assembly
He assembly shares his story of being a shy boy from a single parent family with low confidence. Aged 10 he became inspired by an extreme sports display in his home town and had a vision to become a pro skater.
Danny talks about how his vision and passion for skating helped him build self belief and a growth mindset early on. He learned to put maximum effort into everything he did, not just his skating.
This effort and enthusiasm led him to become a multiple champion and pro skater traveling the world.
He shares the 'rollercoaster moments'
from his journey chasing the dream. From competition wins to family tragedies, Danny explains how he learned to take the positive and grow from every situation, good or bad.
Danny finishes the assembly with an exciting trick display with flips and jumps over members of staff!

Inline Skating workshops
Throughout the day Danny delivers workshops for up to 60 Y5/6 children. Each child is kitted out with skates, helmets, wrist guards and pads.
Danny guides children through the basics of learning to skate, building confidence step by step with various aids and techniques.
Empowering children throughout by encouraging a growth mindset approach towards each skating challenge.

What's required from the school?
- Level playground or hard court area
- 15-20 Y5/6 pupils per workshop
- A member of support staff
- 4 gym benches
- Vehicle access close to playground
- Indoor space if raining
"Amazing! The children were buzzing off of it they all loved it. The assembly with Danny was fantastic as well and I didn’t expect him to do the trick he performed!
The inline skating day was really good for the year 6’s and you saw how their confidence grew during the session. An hour was about the right amount of time. Any less and it might have been rushed so timings were good.
Really happy with it and would like to book again for next year’s year 6’s? "

"I just wanted to drop a quick line to say a huge, huge thank you to Danny and Charlie for the workshops they did with our Y5/6 children. Every child who took part grew in confidence throughout their time with Danny. He was amazing with them!
The assembly at the end was watched by the entire school with our headteacher eventaking part, which was brilliant.
The children who took part in the assembly were usually very low in confidence and struggle to perform in front of an audience. So it was amazing to see these children shine today.
